Welcome to Magnons on an Island 2024

Welcome to the website of the international conference “Magnons on an island 2024”!  The registration will close on Sep. 10. Please find the schedule here.

The conference will take place on the beautiful island of Texel in the Netherlands, from 17 to 20 September 2024 (with arrival on 16 September). It will focus on magnons, van der Waals magnets, and related topics. The goal is to bring together an enthusiastic group of about 100 scientists, mostly junior and early career researchers, and discuss the latest research from published papers to unpublished new ideas. We will have invited and contributed talks, and a poster session.

Texel is an island in the ‘Wadden Sea’ – a Unesco World Heritage. It measures ~10 by 20 km, is easily reached from Amsterdam airport, and its beaches and dunes are a Dutch National park within walking distance from the conference venue.
